Despodent Ordeal (NC 17/18)

Anyone can join, but if you are really squeamish, skim over the detailed posts when it gets super gory - I can get pretty morbid and detailed when I get into zombie RP. If you cant handle it, don't read it at all. I dont have barf buckets for everyone.

First of all, we're countries in this. So... that means that the more infection that is in your country, the more you become sick yourself. If there's only a handful of people left in your country, you're death bed sick. This sickness doesn't turn you into a zombie - it's just a bad, bad cold that grows the more your country is taken over. You can't die in this unless if there's no hope at all for your country.
Also, the more there's infection in your country, the more you'll grow blind.

Weapons are whatever you can grab, or whatever you're already equipped with. Keep in mind that America has safety bunkers, cause he overreacted a tad when he heard about 2012. The Meeting HQ is made to be zombie proof - courtesy of America. Zombies can still get in, but after a TON of effort. There's also a ton of weapons in the basements for apocalypse. Of course, those might be hard to get at if any zombies climb in and get to the basement...


okay, so onto the zombies!!

Time: A couple of months into infection. The infection has spread over the largely populated countries and it's reaching into the smaller nations. You won't be too weak in this yet, but Canada will be starting to get sick.

Place: It's meeting time in America for the nations to try and solve world issues by talking excessively and arguing. Most countries will be in New York, where it's being held. Just so we wont have to write a ton on how we're going to meet up eventually.

Cause of Infection: Canada. Well, not the country himself, but the healthcare was trying to figure out a way to extend life, and -- hey look, a zombie! The infection spread and got into the Great Lakes. It moved onto other water sources, and since Canada is a huge water resource for the world, water is essentially the biggest part on how the infection spread. Well... now Canada's finally recognized... and not in a good way. Eventually the infection hit the shores closest to his country and then spread onland. The inland provinces and states will have the least amount of infection.

Stay away from:

Huge cities. Duh.

Large water masses.

Zombies. Wonder why?

Flaming zombies.

Good places:

Mountains and places far, far away from the ocean.


Stay away from oceans and beaches. Well, really anywhere that has tides. tons upon tons of zombies are dragged out to sea everyday when they fall into rivers - when the high tide comes in, they get dragged onto shore and are put into a hibernation mode while on the beaches. Once someone who is not infected comes and walks by, they come out of that hibernation mode and chase you.


Fast zombies?

Yes. Like any virus, this virus needs to survive - and when an infected comes upon an area that has a low amount of infected, whoever it infects will become super fast and super strong. These are limited to 3 in one area till everyone else becomes lumbering corpses.

Already dead?

No. You have to be living for the infection to take control.

Each country will have a different name for the zombies, depending on what the most popular referral is and your language. If you're bitten, then you are a carrier - this part is important .

A country who is bitten is a carrier for the infection, although they have control over their body and mind. A carrier acts normal. If you kiss or swap saliva or any other body fluids - such as blood - with another person or country, they will become infected as well. You become 100% infected when your country is completely lost to the infection and you are infected as well. In other words - game over.

(OOC: Oh, and just one more thing! For the more private one on one RPs in this, make a sister topic - same name, except put a "private" stamp on it or for example.. "Ukraine and Italy." This is to keep the thread from being clogged up with so many different things going on at once.)

Arthur was enjoying a good cup of buttered rum tea, with rum, and reading a good hard covered book. The windows were closed, due to the heavy downpour outside, but the cold air still streamed through. But what caught Arthur's eye was a glowing red light emitting from the deeper part of London. He stood up and walked to the window. The light was flickering, as if a flame was being fed from the rain. Sighing, he closed the heavy velvet curtains, Probably something stupid he thought meagerly walking towards the majestic fire place to lite in, until the maid burst into the room, panting and looking distressed.
"Sir," She said sounding exhausted, "Sir, there's been word that somethings happened to Canada!" She said recovering from her long run to the room.
"What?" Arthur said, now wondering if the lights had to do with this, "Tell me what happened!"
She merely shook her head with disbelief in her eyes, Arthur sighed sinking into one of the red high back chairs.

((The maid was in fact necessary cause I needed someone to tell Arthur . . . and well he doesn't seem liek the guy to watch tv XD))

As the neighbor of Canada, the north part of the United States were quickly beginning to become infected.
The infection was rampant. Before his government could put a relatively blind eye to it, news reports were full of reports of crazed mass homicides and riots that eventually leave everyone dead. Mentions of the walking dead were minimal - nobody wanted to accept the fact that it was possible. A few of the reporters thought it would be a great idea to shed the truth, but as far as Alfred can see, nobody this south believes it. Two weeks after the reports began, they suddenly stopped - it's obvious that the government doesn't want people to see this, right? All reports that are released are down played. It's too bad that the infection will soon reach New York City and all of America.

It hurts to be away from his country. As soon as he passed over the border and gazed onto beautiful landscape, his eyes kept on straying to cities and towns. Some were so bare that they almost seemed serene. Others had bodies littered across the ground, animals slaughtered and the occasional people running from what seemed to be a mob. From a plane, Alfred was too high up to actually see the exact details from the people - but they seemed just... wrong. The way the mobs moved suggested they were sick - didn't the news reporters suggest an epidemic that not only takes toll on the body, but on the mind? He hasn't come into direct contact with one of the rioters. Not yet. And to be honest... he really doesn't want to. Not alone. Pressing his lips together into a tight line America tore his gaze away from a city that already looked lost. A few of the streets were simply dead; if not for the obvious wreckage and fires, he'd assume that the city was evacuated. That's not the case. In the places that are still occupied, he can see people chasing people - some quick, but mostly slow. The people that are quick can usually get away from the mobs... usually.

He doesn't want to look anymore.

His head was lolling when the rollers of the plane finally extended onto stretch of flat ground. While the plane would usually hold many, many passengers, the passengers weren't your usual type - mostly men with a few strong eyed women, these passengers were armed with guns and heavy ammunition. In case guns failed, melee weapons dotted their bodies in easy reach in case of a scrimmage. These people were intended to protect and enforce the commands of both Alfred and their leading in command officer - part of the American military. He stood and glanced out of the window, although he knew what he'd see. Nothing except for his brothers house, Canada. The people shouldn't have reached this far yet - the infection in this city is just new, albeit rampant. American soldiers are already at the outskirts of the city and filling in under Alfred's orders to relieve the city and keep it safe until he can grab his brother and go to safety.
Isn't asking Canada to leave his country a little too much, though? Alfred nodded to one of the important looking soldiers. He isn't here to ask Canada for help. He's here to offer help for Canada. Although this is new, he can tell that Canada must have some connection to what is going on - the infection is strongest here. In other countries, there should be only a few people infected so far. Russia and Asia will be untouched... for now. He shot a glare at the ground. He can't help everyone, no matter how much he has to - his military is already hurting a lot from so many attempts to "help" in other wars. His economy is shit. He's losing his grasp as a super power and if there's an epidemic then he's afraid that his country just might crumble.

"Sir,"

A voice caught his attention. Alfred looked up and shot him a smile, although it didn't reach his eyes. "Is everything ready?"

"Affirmative."

Nodding silently they began to file out. He had played this part in his mind so many times - jump down from the plane, check for hostile targets, proceed onto the house. Enter house. He half expected his movements to be robotic, monotonous. Afterall... it will go as he's planned it, right? He's spent too much time in preparing this for it to fail. If he's stuck in this house and Canada becomes infected, while there's those mobs outside of the house... that will not be good. At all. When they entered the house and got past the first paart of the mission, he motioned for the other soldiers to spread out around the house and go to their positions as previously ordered. From what Alfred's seen the mobs are attracted by groups of people - as long as they can keep pegging them off and keeping them from coming to the house, he'll be able to talk to Canada without issue.
Hopefully.
Alfred pushed open Canada's office door a crack and gazed inside. His hand was resting on the gun at his side. What if Canada was infected...? Alfred's eyebrows furrowed. Don't think about that. Be optimistic. Breathing in he pushed open the door and stepped inside, his eyes gazing the room... and oh shit. f**k no. "Mattie," despite the wrenching in his chest, his voice was level and clear. Overall, it cut through the air like a knife. He got over to the Canadian and pressed his lips together in a tight line, that crease in his eyebrows returning once more; Matthew can't be dead. His colour is still normal, but it's... flushed. Does he have a fever? Pressing the back of his hand to his forehead he tugged him towards his body and held him close. Wake up, wake up...

"Sir?"

Hours of anticipation and flight towards Canada's house. After that long... he had no idea how much he's been holding in. When gazing out of that window in a monotonous stare, he thought he knew how he'd react when he found Canada. He had it planned out in his mind. And now with tears in his eyes, his mind is awfully clear and he feels awfully relieved. There's still hope to save this city, as long as his soldiers are not infected. They're going in blind... but that'll be fine in the end. It better be. "Tell the others to hold their positions and immobilize any hostile targets; do not eliminate unless necessary. Can you also grab a medic for me?" The tears don't reach his voice.

(First person to say "Nazi Zombies" gets a high-jump kick in the teeth...)

Germany sighed as he was told of the situation in Italy's panicky, "Doitsu! It's terrible! Canada-san's home made some really scary zombies and it's slowly infecting everyone! Oh! I know that they're gonna eat me up like the tasty morsel that I am!" Trying his best to ignore Italy's rant, Germany groaned as he thought to himself. Und people sought zhat us having somesing to do vis aliens vas bad...

"Mr. America is already helping..." Italy sniffed, frightened. "What are we gonna do, Germany?" The brunette looked like a frightened puppy.

The blond sighed before he patted Italy's head. "Ve're going to help..."

Both armies were mobilized and on their way to the borderlands of America and Canada. Italy fell asleep on the plane ride and clung to Germany as the blond watched the outside world below, wondering what the world was turning to...

What if this isn't a good idea? Arthur thought while on his private jet to Canada, What if going there would be my own demise?
These thoughts kept sweeping in and out of focus as he nears Canada. Something has happened, but what? Arthur's maid only told him rumors of some mass outbreak of some sort of virus. The lack of information drove Arthur to go to Canada to find out more, but now that he was on his way, he felt the need to go back home and sleep under his nice silky blankets while listening to the rain hit his window from outside. He had also thought of sending someone else here, but what if the information never made it back? So I decide to risk my own safety . . . He buried his face into the palm of his hands as he was only minutes away from landing.

Erika Vogel had just heard the dreadful news. Fortunately, she was far across the sea from Canada, but she still worried for Matthew and his brother, Alfred. She figured that the United States would be the second country that it would spread to. Liechtenstein hadn't yet figured out her game plan for the whole situation. She didn't think going to Canada would be a smart idea, however there may be a slight chance that she could help. Though, the thought of the undead made her skin crawl with uneasiness and discomfort, she really wanted to help her friends.

"What to do...?" She mumbled. "Maybe I'll take a flight to America. There may be a world meeting held about the situation."

Feliciana stared at the TV. Zombies? Living dead? That can't be true! She had never believed in zombies, but those were zombies.
"So far the infection has spread through Canada and in to the northern part of the United States. Is this the end of the world? What you need to know when we come back! Oh my god here they come!" The woman screamed bloody murder as they ran from a pack of zombies. They made it into the car just in time. "Wasn't that exciting?" She laughed feebly. Suddenly a young zombi child, looking similar to the Grudge, jumped onto the hood of the car a broke into the windshield. A camera was dropped and you could hear screams of horror being uttered, but eventually they were replaced by sounds of eating, sounds of teeth digging into flesh. The zombi girl picked up the camera and screamed loudly. There was organs stuck between her teeth and blood covered her tattered pink dress, her lifeless black eyes and pale white skin made Feliciana want to think that it was all a dream that she could just wake up from, but it wasn’t. It was so much more than that, and she knew it. She had to take action. Maybe going to America to help fight the zombies would help? It would have to.
"Feliciano, Lovino! I'm going to America to help destroy zombies!" She grabbed her favorite pistol and left the house that was so safe compared to North America right now. "Look out New York, here I come." She said to herself. The sun lit up her auburn hair so it looked like fire and placing her favorite sunglasses on her head, she set of to America’s place.

The following day she was in New York, and already seeing signs of the living dead. America told me on the phone to come to New York City, but I have a feeling that there are all ready monsters like these there. She thought as she shot another zombie in its undead brain. When it was writhing on the ground she stomped its head into oblivion, blood spattering her jeans and combat boots. Another rushed at her, faster than the others. She shot it in the brain once- twice- three times, but still it would not falter. It caught up to her as she ran. She didn’t want to shoot it again because she was in danger of running out of ammo. She turned around and jumped into the air, kicking it in the face and grabbing hold to a tree branch and launching herself into the rest of the trees. She didn’t know if they could climb, and didn’t stick around to find out. She jumped from one tree to another until there were no more trees to jump to. She hid herself far up in a tree and took out her iPhone pulling up the GPS app. 2 miles to New York City, New York. That’s not that far! I’ll find Alfred and then I’ll get more ammo. I hope that there aren’t anymore of those zombies. She looked at the nearest building; maybe 200 feet away. She hopped down from the tree and scanned the area for zombies. All clear, she told herself, now if I could get on top of that building, that would make things a hell of a lot easier! Maybe I could climb it? Like they do in Assassin’s Creed! And so she started to scale the building.
A few hours later she was at the meeting place they had agreed on, a small deli near Times Square that looked easy to defend in case of any zombie attacks. “Yo! Alfrizzle F Shizzle! You there?”
